It was glorious reuniting with Rishi Kapoor onscreen: Amitabh Bachchan
Amitabh Bachchan's film career is far from over and in his latest film he's playing a 102-year-old father.
The actor is joined by Rishi Kapoor in 102 Not Out; the two reuniting onscreen after 27 years. Speaking to Indian Express, Bachchan said that it was "glorious" working with Kapoor.
"It was as glorious, as it was all those past years and the historic films we did together. It’s not like we were separated at birth and were meeting after 27 years."
He says of playing a 100-plus man, "The script and character analysis that was narrated to me by the director Umesh Shukla and the writer Saumya Doshi, was to play a youthful 102. An attempt has been made!"
Big B will star as a 102-year-old father, while Rishi plays the role of his son, who is 75 years old.
Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor have previously appeared in several hit films including Amar Akbar Anthony, Kabhi Kabhie, Naseeb and Coolie.
102 Not Out is set to release May 4th.
