Sania Mirza shuts down Twitter troll for calling her 'non-Indian'

Just because she's married to a Pakistani doesn't mean she's non-Indian. FYI.

Sania Mirza has a no bs attitude towards haters and trolls - she will find you and she will give you hell.

The ace tennis player shared a New York Times story on the rape and murder of an 8-year-old girl, appalled by the crime. She wrote:

"Is this really the kind of country we we want to be known as to the world today?? If we can’t stand up now for this 8-year-old girl regardless of our gender, caste, colour or religion then we don’t stand for anything in this world.. not even humanity.. makes me sick to the stomach."

Following her tweet, the celeb received a number of hate on her post.

However, there was one comment which caught her attention. This Twitter user called her a non-Indian...

... and Sania wasn't having it, Not one to stand down in the face of hate, the 31-year-old clapped back with a fiery comment.

"NO LOW LIFE like you will tell me which country I belong to.. I play for India,I am Indian and always will be.. and maybe if u look beyond religion and country one day you may just also stand for humanity!"

Can we have a standing ovation for this woman, please?

Marriage is a personal Choice.Now many Indians don't like her because she married a pakistani Gentleman.What if she had married an American Or European Persons.Sania Mirza is beacuse she worked hard to come where she is.We love her for that.For Many Indian Girls she is a role model.A few would always be there to disgrace it.But Most of us still have same affection & Love for this Lovely Lady from Hyderabad

We have never trolled Shoaib Malik for marrying an Indian or insisted Sania to speak against India after marrying Shoaib. We are a tolerant society in that respect. May the couple live a happy life.

@Babu Thanks for telling it as it is. For some reason, some smart and intelligent people take pride in their "own" country. It was the British India which split the country into two for their own long term interest. Their long term interest has miserably failed and "Brexit" now may lead to new England minus Scotland. Pakistan should look into becoming prosperous nation in a hurry and must develop a quick road map to get there. If it means developing a great friendly relation -- without smallest amount of hatred-- with India then so be it. Take leadership road, Pakistan. Do not expect help from China or USA. You should know when you were with the US as " Non-Nato Ally" for a very long time. All weather friend will disappear as soon a new weather becomes necessary.
