Imran Abbas signed on to Noor-ul-Ain to work with Sarmad Khoosat and Sajal Aly
We were all excited when we found out about Imran Abbas and Sajal Aly's pairing for Sarmad Khoosat's Noor-ul-Ain.
Fans have been rooting for the two be an on-screen couple for quite a while. Now, Imran Abbas has details about the upcoming drama, which he describes as "a beautiful love story."
Speaking to Images, Imran Abbas shared, "The story is very straightforward and simple. This drama echoes elements of dramas of the past, which did not over-dramatise the plot and have unnecessary twists and turns, and this is what I think sets this drama apart. There is an extremely subtle feel to the whole story and all the actors have acted accordingly. Sarmad Khoosat has also controlled the unnecessary dramatic elements."
Fun fact: Imran Abbas wasn't sure about taking on the project until he found out that Sarmad Khoosat will be directing it and Sajal Aly will be starring in it.
Said Abbas, "Initially, I was not certain about whether to take on this project but when I found out that the director was Sarmad, my interest to sign on this drama was instantly revived. Aside from him, the cast was really good; I was really excited to work with Marina Khan, especially because she was appearing on screen after a long time."
Apart from Imran, Sajal and Marina, the cast also includes Iffat Omar and Irfan Khoosat.
He added, "Working with Sajal was also another factor which encouraged me to sign on this drama because she is an amazing actor. In addition, having Abdullah Seja as the producer of the drama made the entire team of the drama seem extremely promising and I have enjoyed myself a lot throughout the filming of this drama."
About his character, the actor revealed, "I play a character named Khizer, opposite Sajal, who plays Noor in the drama. The characters are shown to be in a regular and relatable urban relationship. Noor is a university student at NCA, who is studying to be an architect, whereas Khizer belongs to a well-off family and their class differences are very apparent. Khizer’s journey is about convincing his parents to accept Noor and vice versa and the drama explores how they both overcome these obstacles."
Apart from Noor-ul-Ain, Imran Abbas is also starring in Geo's Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3. The actor also has another project in the works with Bol, alongside Ushna Shah and Sana Javed, which is being shot in Pakistan, Italy and The Netherlands, Imran shared.
Noor ul Ain will be airing on television from February 10.
