Saif Ali Khan's films have not been doing so well of late, but he doesn't let that get to him

During the trailer launch of his upcoming film Kaalakaandi, the Bollywood actor said that though his films have not been faring well at the box office, he still has hope that 'things will fall into place.'

"It's easy to think that people no longer want to see me in a film. But I don't do that. I get my confidence back every time, irrespective of whether my film works or not. I'll keep working and hopefully, things will fall into place," he said.

He revealed that he's "thinking more like an actor" now.

"I quite like the reputation of being an actor as well. What I mean by that is, I am thinking more like an actor than a star these days," added Saif. "I just want to be creatively satisfied. I want to feel good doing it, and I don't want to follow rules. I don't want to be worried about anything as long as I have integrity and I am working hard."

And he's confident his new film will be well-received, "Kaalakaandi is a film I am proud of. It is a fun film. I think my acting has improved working with some of these guys."

Yelp everybody has to retire one day, but still Saif Ali Khan can work as a hero's Dad. Saif can defeat depression by seeing his friend Shahrukh Khan, and can still be a hero in future films. Mustn't lose hope.

Problem with him is that serious roles don't suit him and is getting on abit for comedy roles. Should take a leaf out of Amir Khans/Akshay Kumars book.

He also needs a good cast around him with a good script. Won't be able to carry a film otherwise.

Bollywoods current crop of actors are disappointing. I suppose because most have got fast track tickets thanks to nepotism. Where are the new Ajay, Akshay, Amir, Salman, Shahrukh, Madhuri, Juhi. I think Bollywood needs to invest in merit to persevere. The standard of a star it seems has dropped. This is the industry that has showcased some great talent in the past. But currently there isn't anyone comparable. I can't think of any recent BW movie with new so called stars that has repeat viewing value.

Let us leave the star billing aside, Many stars have fallen from that status. let us think how good he is an actor first. We may not have to go very far!

Flops may not bother him but they bother the producers and investors.

I didn't know he was an actor. I always thought he was in movies as sideshow thanks to his mother links.
