The 45-year-old 90's heartthrob Pooja Bhatt is going to write about her battle with alcohol, Indian media reported.

"I would like to emphasise that it is not an autobiography. At 45, I am too young to write my memoirs. As they say in filmi terms, 'Picture abhi baaki hai, dost' (there's more to come in the movie). But I can help others like me deal with their problem by talking about my journey," Bhatt said in a statement.

Bhatt has been sober for 10 months, and counting.

"It hasn’t been easy but it hasn't been too difficult either," she said. "A series of chapters in a book called life. It wasn't planned, but we have announced the book on Bhai Dooj, when traditionally Indians have just ushered in a new year," she added.

It was in March this year that Bhatt spoke to Indian journalist Roshmila Bhattacharya about her battle with the bottle saying, "If I didn't quit now, I'd have drank myself to the grave." The book will be co-authored with Roshmila Bhattacharya, and will be published by Penguin India. It is expected to come out early next year.

In a tweet, veteran filmmaker and Bhatt's father, Mahesh Bhatt advised her to embrace the experience of writing and not stop in the way of her expression.

"Write dangerously," he says.

Bhatt found fame with roles in Daddy, Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin, Sadak and Zakhm. As a director, she has helmed Paap and Jism 2 among others.

Even in moderation the risks out weigh the benefits. Regular use increases your risk of many kinds of cancers . The western science has only started recognizing it recently.
