Pakistanis have found a new hero and it's Shaniera Akram

She's passionate about many important causes, like road safety, littering and lack of access to clean water in Pakistan

Shaniera Akram doesn't need an introduction through her star husband Wasim Akram. She's made a name for herself through her philanthropy and love for Pakistan — and people love her for it.

The 33-year-old, who has over 292,000 followers on Twitter, actively tweets her concerns about the country and has been doing so for over a year now in hopes of bringing about a change.

She passionately takes on many important causes like road safety, littering and the lack of access to clean water in Pakistan. Locals are hailing her a hero and calling on her to be the president!

Is there an award for 'Pakistan's Best Bhabi'?

President material? We think so.

And she's got a personality to match

It takes more than just calling oneself a Pakistani

Shaniera was overwhelmed by all the love she received from her fellow Pakistanis.

And Wasim Akram is grateful that his wife has been accepted wholeheartedly.

For all the haters out there, Shaniera's got a message for them.

It is good that the couple wants to give. We are used to having celebs who are mostly looking for something bigger and better for themselves. May they live long in health and happiness.

Why do we always need foreign nationals to tell us what is wrong with us ? Can't we keep our ears, eyes and mind open all the time ?

@SAAF GO she is not a foreign national, she is a Pakistani citizen. People from abroad can sometimes see things we cannot see. It is good to have an open mind to all views.

@SAAF GO Shaniera Bhabhi is no more a foreigner in the sense you are referring to. She is a naturalised citizen of Pakistan, Above all, we are taught from the childhood " Look what is being said; rather than who is saying it." Cheers!

Wasim Akram is a very gentle compassionate, and his spouse even more. Not only the rich we all must share our services for better management of our society, a middle class person can help according to capacity, a rich more, a richest much more. We must not miss an opportunity to help or donate.

@akram : You are contradicting yourself. What does "people from abroad" mean ? She is not a Pakistani by birth.
