Wasim's pic with daughter Aiyla gives other celeb dads some tough father-daughter goals to beat
He's bowled us over with his cricketing career and kept us hooked with his commentary, but Wasim Akram reminded us that he's also a doting dad when he shared an adorable snap with his daughter Aiyla.
Both father and daughter look quite content in each other's company in the photograph:
Using the hashtag #kidsforlife in his accompanying tweet, Wasim told his followers that he and his wife Shaniera named their daughter Aiyla (meaning moonlight) because she was a ray of light during the dark period of December 2014. Aiyla was born on December 28, less than two weeks after the Army Public School tragedy.
Shaneira Akram soon joined the conversation and reminded Wasim that their tiny tot will turn one soon:
