It's no secret we love movie premieres. And no, it's not just for the free popcorn.
It's when we crane our necks to see what the crème de la crème of Lollywood stepped out wearing on the red carpet. Na Maloom Afraad 2 was screened yesterday in Karachi and we had a lot of style spotting to do.
How did your favourite celebrity fare? Here are a few looks we want to steal and a few we'd be okay with never seeing again.
We couldn't take our eyes off the Karachi Se Lahore leading lady in this little firecracker of an outfit. For starters, her physique looks killer. Secondly, the denim crop top from Top Shop, paired with fire engine red palazzo pants is a really flattering combo.
She also makes a strong case for the fact that these wide leg trousers are a timeless trend and here to stay. Love the entire outfit, love the tassel earrings. Can all of this stuff just magically appear in our closet please?
We just don't get why Pakistani stars wear such heavy formals on the red carpet. It's a pattern we really wish would stop.
There's just too much going on with this number and the strappy heels aren't helping either. We actually spotted a picture of her wearing flats with the same outfit, they could have been her saving grace!
She beat Fahad Mustafa and Mohsin Abbas Haider to snap up this accolade!
We adore Sadaf Kanwal for taking fashion risks every once in a while. She keeps us on our toes and always finds a way to stand out, even when all she's wearing is a plain black top, boyfriend jeans and Chanel arm candy.
What really elevated her look were her red stilettos and gelled back hair. She looked high fashion AND comfortable — big win!
These babies are tricky and take a bit more thought styling than your basic black blazer. If you get it right, it's classic and bold all at once.
Sadly, Faysal Qureshi didn't. The print is too big, the cut seems awkward and the material almost too thick for this weather.
Funny that the ace designer wound up on our best dressed list himself but the diva he dressed for the red carpet didn't (Hania Amir).
He donned an open collar with a black blazer, basic stuff. But the Moschino belt and the super cute pocket square is what set him apart. Also really digging his barely there aviators!
Is it just us or does this entire outfit just remind you of an air hostess uniform meets librarian (look at those clunky kicks)?
Multiple lessons to be learnt here: Stop trying to make shrugs happen again, it's not going to happen.
P.S: It was a close call between Marshall and Zahid Ahmed for this one; the shoes are what put her ahead.
So to be honest, we're not big fans of the heels or the peekabo purple tank top.
That being said, we adore the quirky multi-coloured bag strap that can jazz up an otherwise blah oufit.
While the actor always looks slick, we weren't too sure about his sartorial choice last night. The black block of colour running across his chest makes it seem like he's tied around the chest.
Not to mention it's a copy of a "custom" Anuj Madaan suit Shahid Kapoor wore to the IIFA Awards this year, which was also a copy of a suit by the Dior menswear director, Kris Van Assche. Why everyone is reproducing this hideousness is beyond us.
The actress proves that some things just get better with age.
Her use of green to liven up an otherwise vanilla outfit is super on trend without being too funky.
When lace and bows attack together, no one is safe.
Hurts us to say but this was a total disaster. It was a mismatched ensemble, like two separate pieces thrown together that really did not belong together plus the colour palette was also a bit of a bore.
