Sharmeen Obaid is heading back to the Women in the World summit.

Sharmeen will be featured on April 7 in a session called 'Pakistan’s Honor' where she will be interviewed by NBC's senior investigative correspondent, Cynthia McFadden.

Says Sharmeen about her session, “I am bringing stories of women who are fighting back to the stage in New York. From women in the police force, to women legislators and activists! It’s important to talk about those women who are risking their lives for others! My urgent call to action is that women can no longer wait for a seat to open up on the decision-making table. They need to empower themselves.”

Participants of this year's summit include Hillary Rodham Clinton, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, actor Scarlett Johansson, Game of Thromes star Lena Dunham and Tony award winning performer Sarah Jones.

Family and friends very much admire Sharmeen's thought provoking documentaries and have attended some fund raising events in Karachi where she was present. Perhaps a bit of advice to Sharmeen after hearing her talk in Davos, Switzerland. Since she will be representing Pakistan at the Women in the World Summit in NYC, it would behoove Sharmeen (who's a very candid soul) to refrain from using profanity when in such public settings. This type of language is not suitable for an American audience as it was not appropriate when she was interviewing Karan Johor in Davos. Use as much profanity as you wish in the company of your friends or family Sharmeen - only please stay dignified in such settings which will be broadcast around the world.

Nothing against the lady, but why not the likes of Maria Umer, Nida Farid, Salina Haroon, Jehan Ara , Nergis Mavalvala, Tasneem Zehra Husain etc. Who have excelled in other fields like Technology, Entrepreneurship and Philanthropy and giving out positive out of our country. No just bashing for it's ill only.
