As Sanam Teri Kasam actor Mawra Hocane gets set to make her comeback on television, she treats her eagerly awaiting fans to a sneak-peek of her next character, Sammi.
Mawra will soon star as the titular character of the upcoming HUM TV serial Sammi, which is "a social cause-based serial, being produced in collaboration with the John Hopkins University."
Designer Zainab Chottani has picked out very colourful ethnic wear for the star. While she may appear bashful in her first look as Sammi, Mawra shares that she is actually very excited to play the part:
"I am always over-excited about my job," gushes Mawra in conversation with Images.
"My craft fascinates me and surprises me but the fact that I am coming back to television screens in December after a year is giving me sleepless nights, anxiety and all the more excitement! I can't wait to share my reinvented self through Sammi, who is absolutely special."

Sharing the image of her dress trial on Instagram last night, Mawra revealed that she will begin shooting for the drama in less than a week.
She further wrote in the photo caption, "I am all things thankful, anxious, shy, fearful [and] nervous as I was on my first ever shoot, but this happens to be the most fascinating element about the craft of acting, the process of unlearning the old [and] re-learning like a beginner all over again!"
Does this mean we won't see Mawra in yet another crying role? Let's hope that's the case.
