We bonded over food and life: Ali Zafar on 'that' Sidharth Malhotra selfie and his PSL journey
Ali Zafar's latest selfie with Bollywood actor Sidharth Malhotra has caused a tizzy on social media. Did the Kapoor & Sons actor actually cross the border to dine with his rockstar bud?
It turns out their friendship has bloomed over a series of such hang-outs. Ali Zafar recounted their relationship in a chat with Images:
"I met Sidharth for the first time at Karan's party for I Hate Love Stories while I was gearing up to shoot Mere Brother Ki Dulhan. Although that was a brief exchange but later we met each other at various parties," he started.
"Then once a friend of mine who was visiting India, who was a big fan of his after his movie came out, wanted to meet him. He was kind enough to take precious time out of his shoot schedule especially to meet her on short notice, and she and her friends praised how sweet he was," Ali continued.
"We became friends and bonded [over] food and life. I told him about the old city flavour and he became very intrigued. Soon we'll share our whole experience in detail!" he confessed.
Ali Zafar will next be seen in a role very close to his heart — as celebrity ambassador of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) he'll be performing at the PSL launch in Dubai.
"It's really strange. As a child I wanted to be a cricketer and even though I grew up to be a musician, a passion for cricket has always been real close to me like it is to the entire nation," he said.

"And then, here comes an event which merges both music and cricket together, so you can understand how much it means to me to be chosen for something so big, to represent my country on an international scale with international players and artists," Ali added.
"It's a big honour for me. We should be proud of it, It can't get bigger than this. Pakistan's own super league that would open on such a grand scale to cricket fans in Dubai. Can't wait to get on stage and rock it!"
We can't wait to see him represent Pakistani cricket either!
