From Mahira Khan to Mawra Hocane, Pakistan's stars are welcoming 2022 with open arms
Entering the new year means letting go of everything that was holding you back last year but for many of our celebrities, they can't let go without one last post of remembrance. Many have been sharing what the new year means to them.
From Mahira Khan to Urwa Hocane, several stars have penned New Year wishes on their social media accounts. The Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay star penned a post reminiscing about her teenage self with clips dating back to 2002.
"On the eve of this new year, I’m sharing something (countless videos of my teenage years) that was lost and found God knows how many years later, a few days back. Was it a sign? A reminder of what we once were? Untainted by this world, unaware of what our future would hold for us. Maybe it’s not such a bad thing to go back once in a while," she wrote.
"Here’s to some good old nostalgia, here’s to remembering that we were all just happy about being around friends and dancing around like fools. Here's to who we have become because of that. Here’s to the children in us. Here’s to never quite growing up," Khan said.
She ended with a wish that 2022 will be a year that brings peace and health.
Internet sensation and actor Dananeer Mobeen was grateful for 2021. "To this year that was 2021; thank you. Thank you for giving me everything that I had imagined and more. This year without a doubt has been life changing. From a 5 second video to meeting amazing people to making life-long memories to learning every single day and to be a part of a script that will go down in history," she wrote.
Mobeen also shared the good and bad that 2021 brought but ended on a positive note and said, "There have been moments where life seemed uncertain and everything wasn’t flowers and rainbows, but, I never let go. I never quit. I kept going, kept being grateful and kept hustling! So, dear 2021, I will forever be grateful and remember you as the year that changed my life, for good. I am bidding you farewell tonight and welcoming 12 new chapters of a new year with open arms."
