Katrina Kaif pays tribute to her 'sisters' with a picture of her girl squad walking her down the aisle
After weeks of building suspense and the Indian paparazzi straight up stalking Bollywood stars Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif as well as their families to get even a single blurry shot of a family member or a possible wedding outfit sleeve, the couple have finally broken their silence by posting wedding pictures as. After the first reveal, the couple kept it coming with stunning pictures of their wedding festivities, to everyone's delight.
Offering a glimpse into her wedding ceremony, Kaif posted pictures from one of the most precious moments for a bride — when she walks down the aisle. Making the entry a feast for the eyes, the actor walked with a phoolon ki jaali (floral net) over her head, carried by her girlfriends. She dedicated the post to her sisters.
"Growing up, we sisters always protected each other. They are my pillars of strength and we keep each other grounded… May it always stay that way!" she wrote.
Kaif and Kaushal tied the knot on December 9 at the Six Senses Fort hotel in Jaipur, India and announced it by posting gorgeous photos and matching captions on their Instagram accounts. This twinning with captions held true for their wedding, haldi and the more recent mehndi pictures.
"Mehendi Taa Sajdi Je Nache Saara Tabbar," [As the henna adorns, dances the entire family] they captioned it adding pictures of the said dancing family and the couple captured in their gleeful celebrations.
Seemingly having pledged loyalty to Sabyasachi, the actors were once more dressed head-to-toe in the designer outfits. Kaif in a multi-coloured matka silk lehenga with a patchwork blouse and an embroidered tulle dupatta paired with eclectic Navratan inspired jewellery and Kaushal in an embroidered raw silk bandhgala jacket, a mint silk kurtaand a Bangalore silk ivory salwar were quite the sight.
If there's one thing that drives fans crazy is their favourite celebrities keeping their private lives private, especially when it comes to their love lives. Despite receiving no confirmation from the couple, everyone was still rooting for them, especially the Indian media. After the whole will they-won't they ordeal, fans and friends alike have been hearty with their congratulations after the couple released pictures from their wedding on their own terms.
Either encouraged by the roaring love or just happy to be able to share it herself, Kaif has been sharing more and more glimpses into the wedding and people are loving it. They may be even more excited now that the couple has allegedly sold the telecast rights to Amazon Prime for a whopping INR 800 million. We might get to see a whole lot more of the wedding very soon.
