After much speculation and snooping around by the Indian paparazzi, Bollywood actors Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal finally confirmed news of their marriage by posting pictures of them tying the knot. It wasn't long before an outpouring of love and well wishes from celebrities came the couple's way on social media from both Pakistan and India.

The couple posted identical announcements on Instagram along with pictures of their big day on December 9. The wedding was held at the Six Senses Fort hotel in Jaipur and started on December 7. The official announcement comes after weeks of intense coverage — practically stalking — by the Indian media. After weeks of secrecy and NDAs, they were finally able to announce the news on their own terms.

Pakistani celebrities were pretty excited to see the couple from their wedding day. Actor Ayeza Khan shared a resounding "finally" on her Instagram Stories.

Pakistan's Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai congratulated Kaif and Kaushal underneath Kaif's Instagram post.

Actor Areeba Habib posted a hearty "beautiful" on Instagram Stories as well.

Many celebrities from B-Town rushed in to wish the newly wedded couple on Instagram. Kareena Kapoor congratulated Kaif and Kaushal by highlighting their nuptials and relationship as "the power of love".

Deepika Padukone commented on Kaif's post to wish the couple a happy marriage.

Anushka Sharma wished the newly weds a "lifetime of togetherness, love and understanding".

Kriti Sanon posted her congratulations on her Instagram Stories.

And so did Priyanka Chopra.

Hrithik Roshan wished the couple well and invited them to "dance together soon".

Anil Kapoor sent in his love and wishes as well.

Sara Ali Khan was pretty ecstatic for Kaif and Kaushal's "next chapter in life".

The wedding isn't over yet. There will be a reception hosted by the newlyweds today (December 10) and maybe, just maybe, netizens might get to see a picture from that as well. Let's see if the newly married couple is in a giving mood.

Weddings do happen in life. Nothing new but, happy continuity for ever, would be something new in fact. Wish every couple continued happiness forever.

why do dawn and other Pakistani media outlets fixated on India and it's culture, are Indian media outlets fixated with Pakistani culture? as for this marriage, congratulations. As a Pakistani my nation, my religious beliefs, my culture, food, society etc are important. it seems the liberals are trying their utmost to keep their masters relevant.

What else can they say to look busy, stay afloat, thumb their impression, get counted, remain in the arena, solicit more contracts, rally support, consolidate their liberal values, reinforce their profile, make their bosses happy and above all, remain in the powerful multimedia limelight?

Malala's "uff" is worth investigating. Frankly, head covered Katrina resembles Malala in the red outfit. Overall both are average looking dames but Malala ended up with a better looking groom. Katrina's pics appear as if she ran away with her chauffer.

If you are judging a person only on the basis of their looks, then you are the ugliest person.
