Atif Aslam, actor Ameer Gilani pair up for ISPR project honouring soldiers at the border
Actor Ameer Gilani recently announced that he will be part of an ISPR tribute to honour Pakistan's "brave soldiers at the border" along with singer Atif Aslam.
The actor — who was last seen in the television drama Sabaat opposite Mawra Hocane — shared news of the tribute when a follower responded to Gilani on his Instagram Stories. "Finally you are doing an ISPR project," the follower wrote. "Being an army brat, this news has made me very happy."
"It's a tribute [to Pakistan]," the actor replied. "A special one."
He later announced that singer Aslam was also part of the project.
In a comment to Images, Gilani said the project is music video that will air on Defence Day. "I am not at liberty to disclose exactly what it is but I can tell you that it’s a tribute to our brave soldiers at the border and how equally human and family oriented they are or may be," he said.
"The music video is going to be aired at a Defence Day function. The director is Mohsin Kamal. ISPR and Rock & Roll productions have produced it. It’ll come on all or most channels across Pakistan," Gilani added.
