Mohlat shows a love triangle between Danial Khan, Sami Khan and Kinza Hashmi but is 'more than a love story'

The latest offering by 7th Sky Entertainment, Mohlat, promises to be a family drama with a social message.

Directed by Saima Wasim and penned by Samira Fazal, the series stars Kanza Hashmi, Sami Khan, Bushra Ansari, Komal Aziz and Danial Afzal Khan.

After playing Nomi in Raaz-e-Ulfat, Danial gave an insight towards how this role would be different than his previous ones. “I want to tell my fans that this character will be totally different from Nomi. You will see me in a different light. He is a hopeless romantic. I do hope I am able to fulfil the expectations of my fans and this character is as appreciated as Nomi was,” he said.

Speaking about the storyline, the Ghissi Pitti Mohabbat actor added that while it was "a love triangle" between him, Hashmi and Khan, "however, it would be wrong to label the show just a love story. The situations are such that people can relate to it and in the end, there is a strong social message."

He is certain that people would learn a thing or two about relationships from Mohlat. "The whole cast and crew have given it their all and I hope it reflects on screen,” he added, elaborating that the theme was different as this is a drama where women are not oppressed.

Mohlat airs everyday at 9pm on Geo Entertainment.
