Abdullah Siddiqui stunned as he makes it to Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia List

The electropop prodigy who took Pakistan's indie music platform by storm, Abdullah Siddiqui, just made it to the Forbes Under 30 under 30 Asia List and we couldn't be more proud.

The singer, who rose to fame through his original track Resistance on Nescafe Basement's Season 5 in 2019 announced the exciting news on social media and is a little dazed.

"Forbes 30 Under 30. I’m completely stunned and so incredibly grateful," he said. "To everyone who helped me get here, thank you."

According to the American business magazine, which titles him as a producer, "Siddiqui began producing English-language electronic music at the age of 11 and started releasing it as an independent artist when he was 16.

"The native of Lahore has appeared on Nescafé Basement, a Pakistani TV series that showcases the music of underground artists. He has written and produced music for some prominent singers in Pakistan, including Fawad Khan, Meesha Shafi, Shamoon Ismail and Aima Baig."

The 30 Under 30 list recognises and highlights the next generation of talent. Siddiqui's achievement comes under the entertainment and sports category.

Naturally, many big names publicly congratulated the star on this huge achievement.

From experimenting with Michael Jackson covers on an old German audio software, to burning through iPads producing his music on rudimentary applications and still managing to sound like a pro, Siddiqui has been making music for over a decade now, and has definitely come a long way.
