Baaghi teaser out: Saba Qamar easily slips into Qandeel Baloch's role

In just two lines, Saba Qamar captures the true essence of social media sensation Qandeel Baloch.

Baaghi, Urdu 1's upcoming TV drama on Qandeel's life, has become the talk of the town and not just because it's based on the internet sensation but also because the talented Saba Qamar is essaying the role - the teaser is proof of her acting prowess!

It starts with Saba Qamar saying, "None of it bothers me at all," and ends with her calling everyone a liar. An apt description of the prevalent hypocrisy in our society.

In 14 seconds, the teaser shows Qandeel's life and her treatment at home by her father and brothers.

In an earlier interview with Saba, the actor told Images, "Qandeel represented the double standards that exist in our society. She had the courage to expose how two-faced people could be."

And Saba is determined to play the role, regardless of threats that could follow. “Let them follow,” shrugs Saba. “Everyone has to die someday. I’d rather die after doing something worthwhile."

The drama also stars Sarmad Khoosat, Osman Khalid Butt and Ali Kazmi.
