Do you know what Muneeb Butt is up to in Dubai? We just found out.
The 25-year old actor just bagged himself his first major international project for Zee TV titled Khwabon Ke Darmiyan , which went on floors this week in Dubai.
Muneeb with the team in Dubai
Muneeb, who launched his film career last year with the forgettable romantic-comedy, Halla Gulla , will now be directed by Waqqas Qadir Shaikh for his debut Indian series' first season. Waqqas has previously worked as assistant director at Warner Brothers.
In conversation with Images, Muneeb shared that he signed the project prior to the Pak-India tensions and only flew to Dubai after being satisfied with the arrangements.
"I signed this project when the Pak-India relations weren't as tense. To be honest, I was a little apprehensive post the Uri attack tension," he shares. "I had a talk with the team and told them straight up that if I feel a negative vibe on the set, i will leave and come back to Pakistan. I will not compromise my country's dignity and my own self-respect. However, the makers are thorough professionals and they have agreed upon all my terms and conditions."

The actor is supportive of cross-border projects with the belief that the trade of talent helps in increasing one's exposure and widening one's horizon.
"Pakistan and India's cultures are not very different from one another. Our talent has the potential to be recognised and appreciated at international platforms and if we are approached to work for their [Indian] productions, it does ultimately benefit us as well," he said.
Although Muneeb believes that there's only one particular group that opposes the idea of Pakistani artists crossing the border and vice versa, he maintains that the general population on both the sides resist war culture and demand peace and harmony.
Khwabon Ke Darmiyan , which also features veteran Pakistani actor Javed Sheikh (who has extensively worked in Bollywood as well), mostly consists of an Indian cast including Bigg Boss Season 1 contestant, Aryan Vaid and Indian TV actor, Sachin Khurana.
