The National Academy of Performing Arts (Napa) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Balochistan government’s Directorate of Culture to establish a campus in Quetta, the academy’s social media accounts posted on Tuesday.

The agreement to establish the institute’s first campus outside Karachi was signed by Syed Javed Iqbal, the chairman of Napa’s board of governors, and Balochistan Culture Secretary Hamidullah Nasir.

Also present at the signing were Napa board member and former senator Roshan Khursheed Bharucha and Dawood Tareen, the director of the culture department. They were joined by a number of artists, representatives of the media and members of civil society.
