Surprise, surprise, the Pakistani cricket team has once again disappointed fans this time by losing to England and fans are blaming it on poor selection and, of course, the infamous catch drop by Usman Tariq.

The Pakistan versus England match on Tuesday unexpectedly kept everyone hanging till the very last over, despite the 165-run target. However, thanks to Harry Brook’s century, England ended up winning by two wickets.

Some fans officially labelled Brooks as a Pakistan bully, while others just asked for him to leave us be.

The other half was busy deciphering how Usman Tariq managed to drop Jacob Bethell’s catch in the fourth over…like seriously, how?

Many were stuck on the poor team selection, unable to wrap their head around the point of having Babar Azam in the team.

Others had some ideas about the merits of cursing out the cricket team.

Even though fans were not initially into the idea of Shaheen Afridi returning to our screens as well…

They quickly took a U-turn once Shaheen dismantled England’s top order.

Irrespective of the surprises here and there (pleasant or unpleasant), some have accepted that the haters were right.

But for some, the delusion lives on. Excel sheets are open, WhatsApp experts are active, and every fan has suddenly become a net run rate analyst. All we need now is England to win big, Pakistan to win bigger, and the universe to cooperate for once. Easy, right?
