Disappointment, disbelief and resignation seem to be the three emotions reigning supreme over Pakistani fans after the Pakistan versus India World Cup match on Saturday. We came, we saw and we collapsed.
After a dismissal first innings in which Pakistan set a minuscule 192-run target, the team’s bowlers, usually their strength, fizzled out as well. As you can expect, their poor performance was met with disgust by fans hoping for a challenging game.
Fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar didn’t think much of the bowling lineup’s work.
Can you blame him though?
The batting lineup didn’t fare much better either.
Singer Asim Azhar was pretty disappointed too.
“Sorry, we can’t come out today, gotta stay home and cry.”
The Indians had jokes too.
There were very few holdouts in the end.
