Anoushey Ashraf says Iranians deserve self-determination — not leaders courting Israel

The host bashed exiled Iranian prince Reza Pahlavi for failing to bring up Palestine in a recent statement on foreign policy.

Host Anoushey Ashraf has been a vocal advocate for the Palestinian cause for some time, which is why it’s no surprise she’s come out with strong condemnation of exiled Iranian prince and leadership hopeful, Reza Pahlavi, who promised an immediate restoration of relations between Iran and Israel if he takes power.

Ashraf said “the people of Iran have the absolute right to self-determination,” but not in the name of “obvious mouthpieces for the greater agenda”.

She lamented that Pahlavi didn’t even mention Palestine while “crying for the recognition [of] and strong ties with an apartheid state,” saying that it indicates his true leanings and intentions.

The host said, at the very least, he “could’ve mentioned Palestine and said they’d find a way ahead with their difficult relationships [sic] with Izrahell.”

She asserted that Iranians know better and should do with the prince “what they deem fit”.

Pahlavi, the son of Iran’s former shah, has been living in exile in the United States ever since his father was ousted in Iran’s 1979 Islamic Revolution, which turned the country from an absolute monarchy to a theocracy.

In his latest statement, he said he would restore US-Iran relations and establish relations with Israel, expanding “the Abraham Accords into the Cyrus Accords, bringing together a free Iran, Israel, and the Arab world.” He also pledged to end Iran’s nuclear weapons development.

The prince appealed to the Iranian leadership to resign during last year’s war between the country and Israel, presenting himself as a potential ruler. He’s repeated calls for the present regime’s ouster during the ongoing protests in Iran.

He is an opportunist. What has he ever done for the betterment of the Iranian people. Nothing. And whenever there is unrest in Iran, he pops up as an alternative to the Iranian regime. Most Iranian don't even remember him.

Well, the man clearly has a personal agenda, fuelling the fire with all that rhetoric all seems such a farce....the son of a despotic monarch whose rule was no less brutal....questionable pedigree, unremarkable credentials.

Iranians living in and outside have been infiltrated by the Mosad agents. In their blind opposition to the clerics in Tehran, they are unable to differentiate between friends and foes. To woo Reza Pahlavi is akin to asking Sawak comeback.
