In a tumultuous world where mental health issues often go unheard and unaddressed, Mawra Hocane is requesting friends and acquaintances to reach out to her without any judgment.

The Jafaa actor’s heartfelt Instagram story came shortly after news of the passing of actor and model Humaira Asghar Ali broke. South DIG Syed Asad Raza told Images that Ali’s body was recovered from a flat in Ittehad Commercial in Phase-VI. In a statement, the Gizri police identified the body as that of the 32-year-old actor and said she had died around two weeks prior to the discovery.

“If you’re in trouble or caught in spiralling thoughts, if I have known you briefly or extensively, if you’re a friend or an acquaintance, if you’re from my fraternity and you feel I will understand your pressures, please reach out!” Hocane wrote.

Hocane promised to understand, be kind, not judge and do whatever she could to help. She added that bad news broke every day and emphasised that people needed to build community again.

“Humans need humans, luckily I have a few golden ones in my life, inside and outside of [the] fraternity, but pressure is real, especially if you’re in your impressionable years. If you’re reading this and going through something, I am sorry, but most importantly, I’ll try to be there, InshaAllah,” the actor wrote.

She went on to say that nothing was more precious than the beautiful gift of life. “Please don’t be ashamed to be vulnerable. We all are, we have all had our highs and lows. You’re not alone!”

In a second Instagram story, Hocane revealed that she received “kind and warm” direct messages after her initial post and encouraged people to be there for each other.

“Few words of comfort and love can help everyone. All it takes is one person willing to hear out the other. It’s not a lot, it’s literally the bare minimum,” she wrote, hoping that her words helped.

“Praying for all of us meanwhile.”

The news of Ali’s death came weeks after veteran actor Ayesha Khan was found dead in her apartment on Thursday in Karachi’s Gulshan-i-Iqbal area. The deceased’s remains in the morgue indicated that she may have died a few days before her body was found.

It is lonely at the top. All the pretenses of glamorous colorful life and bling-bling notwithstanding. I've personally known people who were seemingly were very successful in their pursuits and chosen careers, well-connected, worth $ hundreds of millions, who still lived a sad lonely existence without true friends. Some even ended their misery by taking their own lives to end the fake drama.

Simply great things to do and help others who are suffering financially and no one is there to help and support them. Remember team work pays off.

Goes to show how much people really care for others. The deceased body laid in her apt for nearly two weeks and no one of her peers, so-called friends or immediate family missed her or were alarmed when they had no contact from her during this time!!!

How were they not alone, when they died miserably without any of their loved ones, (if any) even aware of their deaths, for over two weeks?

The public does not need to know about Mawra's "offer". This is not how you build relationships.

This is all great. But why does it have to take the death of somebody for people to talk. I hesitate to say take action, because this is Pakistan after all, where we are very good at talking at all the wrong times but never or rarely take action. Where was this concern and offer for help when two of our actresses have been found dead and where were their families? What is going on here? So many unanswered questions. Where was her family, friends, colleagues, agent etc?

@Mahmood Exactly. This is so heartbreaking and indictment of our fake and hypocritical society and culture. It's truly a blessing to have sincere relations be that family or friends. Because nobody should have suffer through what she did. Selfish world we live in.
