How Mawra Hocane repurposed Ameer Gilani’s family heirlooms for her timeless nikkah look
Mawra Hocane’s nikkah pictures are everywhere with fans now anticipating some more fun shots from her shendi. Her nikkah look — an ethereal pale blue lehenga and a koti-style shirt — is being talked about online for all the right reasons.
The actor opted for a meticulously-crafted ensemble by Rano’s Heirlooms. In a recent Instagram post, she spoke how she added heirloom pieces to make it even more personal.
Expressing her heartfelt gratitude to the brand for bringing her vision to life, she wrote, “Rano Aunty and Jahannoor, you two literally curated my dream nikah outfit… absolutely magical. Thank you so so much!”
The Sabaat actor added, “We also restored the dupatta my mother-in-law wore when she got married and paired it up with Ameer’s grandmother’s jewellery that she wore at her wedding more than half a century ago!”
Hocane’s lehenga featured intricate golden floral motifs accented with pink and purple embroidery, while a thick border of shocking pink, deep purple, and icy blue added a regal finish.
Paired with a unique koti-style short shirt, the outfit was elevated by bright pink and green piping that introduced a subtle yet striking contrast. Completing the ensemble was a scallop-edged green dupatta that was slightly brighter than the lehenga.
Hocane accessorised her look with dainty emerald green jewellery that perfectly matched the delicate green piping on her shirt. A stack of plain gold bangles lent a classic charm, while a bright pink potli with intricate golden embroidery added a vibrant touch to her outfit.
To complete her look, Hocane opted for minimal, barely-there makeup. Apart from a glossy nude lip, a soft pink eyeshadow, and a hint of blush, her makeup was almost undetectable.
We can’t wait to see what the actor wears at other events!
