Indian singer Akhil Sachdeva recently teamed up with Pakistani superstar Mawra Hocane for the music video of ‘Tu Chaand Hai’ — and he has nothing but praise for her.

In an interview with Filmfare, Sachdeva said working with Hocane was “amazing,” and that “art cannot be stopped by borders.”

The singer detailed how he met Hocane through her brother-in-law, Farhan Saeed, who Sachdeva called a “friend.”

“I met Mawra through Farhan, so there was already a comfort level and friendship. It was amazing, and it all happened in a friendly and smooth manner, and that’s what shows on the screen as well.”

Sachdeva said the music video, which has garnered over seven million views on YouTube since its release on April 4, was shot during Ramazan, and Hocane was fasting during filming while the singer was travelling between different cities for shows. However, there was still “chemistry and bonding” between the two.

“I was very comfortable with her. We enjoyed working and the vibe of the song. We didn’t talk much other than when we were there on set because, as I said, she had kept her Roza [fast].”

Talking about cross-border collaborations, Sachedva maintained that “Collaborations between India and Pakistan have started happening now. You can’t stop music, it transcends everyone.”

He continued that ‘Tu Chaand Hai’ was on the Top 10 charts on Pakistan’s Spotify, “so it is getting love and is going to get bigger and bigger.”

In an earlier statement, Hocane commended her collaborator and said, “Music videos have always fascinated me, and I couldn’t have asked for a better song coming my way. ‘Tu Chaand Hai’ is pure magic, and working with the team has been an incredible experience. I can’t wait for my fans to see this beautiful journey unfold.”

If we can't play a cricket match on each other soil then why wish for joint film & music? It's nothing but publicity of music album

Artist and Singers are peace maker and their respective countries and they can visit any country to make peace and harmony through music and cultural exchanges between them. India-Pakistan and Bangladesh are well known related to Bollywood movies and singing and languages. Let’s make good understanding and friendship between all nations.
