Singer Haroon just released a new song featuring Aima Baig. Titled ‘Cha Jaa’, the uplifting anthem serves as the official soundtrack for the animated TV series Planet Champs on Geo Entertainment.

‘Cha Jaa’ is a high-energy track driven by themes of resilience and environmental responsibility.

The song encourages young listeners to dream big and protect the planet, aligning with the show’s mission to educate and inspire children. Haroon has produced the track, while the accompanying music video has been created under his production company, Unicorn Black Production.

Earlier this month, Haroon took to Instagram to address his presumed absence from the music scene. In a candid video, the ‘Mehbooba’ singer assured fans that he hadn’t disappeared but had merely shifted his storytelling medium.

“Most of you know me as just Haroon the singer, for which I don’t blame you because that’s what I did for many years,” he shared. “For a while now, I’ve been keeping very busy doing many things. I found a love for production and direction while working on my own music videos. That’s when I decided to do this on a bigger scale and set up my own production company called Unicorn Black Production. We worked on film ideas, music, and TV shows.”

Haroon revealed that his transition into animation was largely influenced by the massive success of his Emmy Award-nominated and Peabody Award-winning superhero series Burka Avenger.

“I never thought I’d stop making music, but when Burka Avenger came out, it exploded on the global stage. It became huge. And then we became inundated with offers to do more seasons. Burka Avenger had become far bigger than Haroon. It was a global phenomenon and because of that, music took a backseat.”

While ‘Cha Jaa’ is being hailed as Haroon’s musical comeback, the singer had previously released ‘Dhundoonga’ in 2020, marking his first solo music video in a decade. His last OST before ‘Cha Jaa’ was ‘Baba Bandook’, which he sang alongside Ali Azmat for Burka Avenger in 2015.

Additionally, in 2020, he joined forces with Azmat, Arif Lohar and Asim Azhar for the Pakistan Super League anthem ‘Tayyar Hain’.

With ‘Cha Jaa’, Haroon is continuing his mission of using entertainment as a tool for education and empowerment. His latest proves his creative journey is far from over.
