Aryan Khan’s smile shines brighter than even Shah Rukh Khan in new Netflix trailer

So what broke the internet today? Drumroll please…it was Aryan Khan’s smile. In a promo for his directorial debut, Aryan dared to crack a grin, sending social media into a collective frenzy.

We all know the son of Bollywood’s undisputed king, Shah Rukh Khan, does not smile often, at least on camera. In fact, he rarely shows any emotions and is mostly seen brooding like a male character from a Jane Austen novel trapped in a 21st-century celebrity bubble.

Ever since the drugs-on-cruise saga — in which he was given a clean chit — he’s largely avoided the limelight. But since news of his directorial debut made the rounds last year, he has been making more frequent public appearances, hinting at a gradual but deliberate step into the industry on his own terms.

Now, in Netflix’s promo for his upcoming series featuring none other than his superstar dad, Aryan can be seen giving directorial instructions to his father (the sheer nerve!) and flashing what can only be described as a rare, almost AI-generated smile. Commenters were understandably shaken, as were we. So, naturally, we must immortalise this moment, overanalyse it, and perhaps even submit it to historians for further study.

Without further ado, here’s the promo for Aryan’s upcoming Netflix series called The Ba*ds of Bollywood, which documents this rare moment in history.

Netizens had a lot to say but most comments resonated with one, singular sentiment: Shock. Shock that Aryan’s voice is EXACTLY like Shah Rukh Khan’s and shock that he can actually be happy…

“Aryan can smile?” — myth busted

Aryan — 1, GTA — 0

Like father like son

Hyped for just existing

So, what have we learnt today?

That Aryan Khan’s smile holds more power than most PR campaigns. That his voice could easily be mistaken for SRK’s in a blind test. And that all it takes for the internet to combust is one barely-there smirk from Bollywood royalty.

At this rate, if Aryan ever dares to flash a full-blown grin, India might just have to declare a national holiday. Until then, we’ll be here, closely monitoring his facial expressions for the next historical event.

@Ahsan Gul, The same kind as Pakistani Khans, like Feroze Khan, Sami Khan, Fawad Khan, Kubra Khan, Alyy Khan, Usama Khan, Sehar Khan, Ahsan Khan, all of whom will never objectively pass as "white skinned" but rather wheatish yellow/brownish also known simply as "brown people", no matter how much skin lightening/bleaching creams and injections they use, or how many spot lights shine at them during filming, or how much pale makeup they wear, genes are genes. Also don't make up statistics like 99% of Khans being "white skinned". Instead study and understand the science of skin, pigmentation, and genealogy. It doesn't rely on surname or castes. This light skin complex needs to go. It's 2025.
