After her show Momsense wrapped up, Zara Noor Abbas clarified that she was against comparisons and competition because creating content in Pakistan was difficult.

In a vlog posted to her YouTube channel, the actor said content production was very difficult, and audiences had no idea how much brainstorming and research was involved in developing an idea.

Her remarks were in response to viewers’ comments that Momsense — a YouTube show about motherhood hosted by Abbas — was similar to other preexisting shows.

“Whenever someone makes an effort from Pakistan, it’s so important to honour [that], instead of labelling it as a copy of something else,” Abbas said in the vlog.

The Jhoom actor said that there were no original ideas in the world after the invention of Apple’s iPhone, which she said was also only upgraded after the first iteration was launched.

“Let’s understand that we get inspired by things, people, stories and shows, and that’s why we want to do shows like that in our country, in our version.”

Commenting on the show’s reception, Abbas appreciated audiences’ relating to the motherhood side of actors and added that all women were the same.

“Women, at the end of the day, are the same. Whether she’s an actor, entrepreneur, lawyer, housewife, full-time mom or teacher — all women in the end are the same.”

Abbas said that women’s journies were difficult and while some had comparatively better experiences, all women were the same.

“The more we make others feel included, the better. Share your experiences with one another, and build each other up, make each other stronger,” she said.

I understand the difficulty of creating content in Pakistan but I disagree with originality of the ideas. Copying is our mindset especially in showbiz. We need to generate new ideas!!!

I can understand why Miss Nepo baby feels that way. Probably because her show is a direct copy of many other existing shows. Of course she can't handle scrutiny, criticism/feedback, or comparisons or competition because that would entail her actually having to create her own original content. She is, where she is, because of her privilege of being daughter of Asmaa Abbas. Not merit. She is clueless about what happens outside her little bubble. Tomorrow she will complain about lack of privacy and people uploading her family's pictures etc. She should do a show about how average unknown actresses feel about Nepo babies in show biz taking their jobs and their journeys.

There are many original ideas and works in progress. Unfortunately to know this one would have to read, keep updated on global world, progress, efforts or just talk to average people. You know, make an effort to learn? Most morning and talkshows are run by actors with shaadi, favorite color, joint family, fake praise and excessive sucking up and all around fakery being common topics. None have the capabilities, credentials or qualifications as journalists etc. This shows in the airhead content. Work is subject to feedback. Good or bad. Thats how it improves. Absence of constructive criticism and critical thinking both in awaam also shows. Women are women, yes. But the trials and tribulations are not the same. We are a very classist, status oriented and segregated society. Elitists and nepotists can hardly relate, know nor represent the average woman. Majority Pakistanis don't know or don't want to know what's happening in Pakistan. I hope Images will consider to cover some of the great knowledgeable, informative and thought provoking podcasts that exist such as Syed Muzzammil Shah, Shahzad Ghias etc. Maybe a series including interviews with average women working as social activists in their local areas? Or series on average womens take on motherhood and challenges?
