Superstar singer and global sensation Atif Aslam has revealed an exciting new chapter in his illustrious career — a music programme titled Borderless World.

Taking to Instagram, Aslam shared the announcement with his millions of followers, introducing the initiative as a transformative platform for music lovers and creators worldwide.

Alongside the programme’s logo, he wrote, “Borderless World is more than just a music show. It’s a platform to bring together artists, sounds, and stories from around the globe.”

The ‘Doori’ singer called the upcoming programme his way of “giving back to the industry and to all of you, who have been my biggest support through every step of this journey.”

He added, “Get ready for brand new music, epic music videos, that will bring a fresh wave to the music scene. I can’t wait for you all to experience this with me!” During a YouTube live session — which saw overwhelming traffic, causing the video to freeze at times — Aslam shared his inspiration behind the project.

He explained that Borderless World has been in the making for over a year, stemming from his desire to return to his roots and create something deeply personal. The programme-cum-platform promises to be a blend of original music, iconic covers, and unforgettable collaborations, all set against stunning backdrops from around the globe.

“When I did my first album, and then my second and third, I moved into playback singing and didn’t get the time to focus on my music anymore. I’m not complaining but God didn’t lend me that time. Now that I’ve found it, I want to produce something of my own. This was the perfect moment to bring Borderless World to life.”

Fans can expect a series of approximately 10 songs, with music videos shot in breathtaking locations worldwide. The first release is a song filmed in New Zealand. Interestingly, none of the content has been shot in Pakistan — a deliberate choice to explore landscapes with global appeal.

“All the places we’ve shot in hold a lot of significance; so many Western artists have shot their videos there,” Aslam said. He hinted that Borderless World would evoke the nostalgia of his earlier music while introducing innovative sounds. “I think somewhere you’ll be able to hear the old Atif Aslam,” he teased.

When a fan asked him about his Bollywood comeback, Aslam quipped, “Comeback ka kya karna hai [What are you going to do with a comeback] when you’re getting the music and it’s getting released regardless?”

Aslam’s announcement has generated excitement among fans and the music fraternity, with the comments section of his post buzzing with questions and compliments.

He did not share a release date or any other details, but the show is expected to drop very soon.

Imagine there's no heaven It's easy if you try No hell below us Above us, only sky Imagine all the people Livin' for today Ah Imagine there's no countries It isn't hard to do Nothing to kill or die for And no religion, too Imagine all the people Livin' life in peace You You may say I'm a dreamer But I'm not the only one I hope someday you'll join us And the world will be as one Imagine no possessions I wonder if you can No need for greed or hunger A brotherhood of man Imagine all the people Sharing all the world You You may say I'm a dreamer But I'm not the only one I hope someday you'll join us And the world will live as one by John Lenon

Most Pakistanis don't understand the concept of art being borderless. So he should expect to receive heat for it.

Great way doing such things by great singer Atif Aslam, music is a sole of life for all humanity and even animals love it too and enjoy it. Sadly some bad people or low caste people when they become powerful politicians and they are the ones do silly things to hate music and hate peoples etc etc.

I’m sure he wishes the world was borderless, given the fact that the Pakistani passport ranks among the last in the world.

'Borderless world' shows that these people are after money and not proud of Pakistan and its huge talent. Most foreigners come to admire ' coke studio Pakistan' and other talent in millions. Keep it here.

@Asad Art is essentially borderless whether you want to acknowledge it or not. That's is perhaps the one field that takes you wherever across the world and you work with different people, cultures etc. You can't expect artists to live in a bubble and onlt work in pakista
