Hania Aamir, one of the most prominent actors to emerge from Pakistan, is celebrating eight years in the entertainment industry.

Sharing an old clip from her early acting days on Instagram, the Mere Humsafar shared, “This girl did not know she would come this far.”

“It makes my heart so happy to know that I have met some amazing people, made some great memories, discovered more about myself and have found the best community online.”

Aamir, with a legion of 15 million Instagram followers — the most followed Pakistani celebrity on the platform — often shares short vlogs from her day, reels of herself singing and relatable pictures from her everyday life. Almost all of her posts amass hundreds of thousands of likes, sometimes surpassing a million.

The actor thanked her fans for sticking by in situations where she would have abandoned herself.

“We’ve seen a little too much together. And here we are. Living it up. I love you all,” she said, once again thanking her audience for having her back.

Aamir wished for “many more years of happiness, joy, authenticity and peace.” Authenticity indeed, because few Pakistani actors share their lives with fans the way she does — from pictures of her sitting on an airport floor with her luggage wide open to doing face masks with her friends, Aamir has cultivated an aura of genuineness and relatability which her fans love.

Earlier this year, the actor also opened up about her struggles with mental health, and emphasised that there was “absolutely no shame in talking about mental health or asking for help”.

It isn’t just her social media persona, the actor’s career and skill are a testament to her professional prowess, which makes audiences across the globe love her more. Her Instagram posts are usually flooded with fans from Pakistan, India, and beyond, expressing their love and adoration for her.

Here’s hoping we get to see even more of Aamir’s acting skills (and fun reels) in the years to come!

I am sure she is a nice and all. I just don't like her. I also don't like her acting or the projects she chooses which are demeaning to women except for Ishq Kia. Also I don't understand why so many of our actors are getting tattoos.

@Laila It's a personal preference. They have bodily autonomy too...

@CHEEZY I am not arguing against her bodily autonomy. Her body, her choice. I am just saying I don't like tattoos on females. Like you said it's about preferences. It's just becoming rare to see models and public figures without tattoos. Not just Pakistan but Hollywood etc too. It's permanent and not easily removed. I think many do it because it's in fashion especially among teens. A statement of rebellion, if you like. By Pakistani standards it's bold, daring and proactive. I toyed with the idea once. Luckily I have fear of needles! Also I would've regretted it. Thank you for your courteous comment.
