Sarwat Gilani and Fahad Mirza gave us a candid glimpse into their journey of love and matrimony on Deepak Perwani’s talkshow for Dawn News. The couple shared insights into their relationship while also shedding light on navigating jealousy — a very common problem among celebrity couples due to their “high demand”.

Gilani, known for her captivating performances including her role in the acclaimed Joyland, opened up about her initial struggles with jealousy. As the wife of Fahad Mirza, a multifaceted personality renowned not only for his acting prowess but also as a skilled plastic surgeon and model, Gilani said she found herself grappling with feelings of insecurity in the face of other women seeking her husband’s professional expertise.

“I used to feel very insecure when all these girls would come up to Fahad, wanting to get either their nose done or their lips done,” she confessed. However, Gilani revealed that with time, she has overcome those insecurities. “Now whenever someone does this, at least in front of me, I’m like, you know what, take this to the clinic and let me enjoy the time I get with my husband,” she said, adding that Mirza gets very little time off work.

Mirza, equally forthcoming, acknowledged occasional bouts of possessiveness, particularly in the presence of “good-looking” men vying for Gilani’s attention. Despite his trust in her, owing to her commitment to their relationship, Mirza admitted to having feelings of possessiveness till this day.

“Sarwat has never given me a reason to mistrust her,” he affirmed. “But of course, I know she’s desirable. What I saw in her, any man can see. So obviously, I make sure I’m there whenever a good-looking guy tries to sweet talk her.”

Gilani and Mirza have been married since 2014 and are parents to three beautiful children, with a recent addition to their family — a baby girl born in December last year. Despite the demands of their respective careers, they prioritise their relationship, cherishing the moments they share amidst busy schedules.

As they continue to navigate the intricacies of marriage, the duo’s openness about jealousy and trust serves as a reminder that even the strongest relationships require nurturing, communication, and a willingness to confront challenges together.
