‘Sweet but Psycho’ singer Ava Max recently faced an alarming incident during a show in Los Angeles. A video has been circulating on social media of the moment when a man barged onto stage and slapped the singer before being swiftly grabbed by security. Despite being visibly shocked by the incident, she continued to dance and perform.

She revealed on Twitter that an audience member had slapped her so hard that it caused a scratch inside her eye. She expressed her disappointment at being assaulted online.

The incident occurred on Tuesday and sparked concerns about artist safety during live performances. Max mentioned that the aggressor would not be allowed to attend her shows again. Despite the situation, she praised her fans for their incredible support throughout the evening.

One of her fans posted the video, saying, “Someone jumped on stage at the end of tonight’s show in Los Angeles. This is a reminder that this behaviour is unacceptable. Sending all our love to Ava and her crew.”

Another fan described the incident, saying, “I was there tonight. The guy rushed on stage at the end right when the last song ended. The security guard tackled him and literally THREW him down the stairs. Wild!!! It happened so fast. You can see here she couldn’t even open her eyes but she STILL did M&G.”

This incident follows a recent attack on pop singer Bebe Rexha. Rexha had to be hospitalised after an audience member threw a phone at her during a concert.

The New York Police Department confirmed the incident involving Rexha and stated that a 27-year-old man from New Jersey, Nicolas Malvagna, was arrested and charged with assault.

Rexha later posted two selfies on Instagram, showing visible signs of injury, including a black eye and a laceration on her eyelid.

Despite the ordeal, she reassured her followers that she was doing well.
