Bollywood’s Uorfi Javed has been detained for questioning by the police while in a work trip in the UAE, according to Indian media. The TV star, who is known for her bold fashion choices, was reportedly detained in Dubai for allegedly shooting a video wearing a ‘revealing’ outfit in public. However, her Instagram shows that she’s in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Javed flew to Dubai to shoot her upcoming projects according to the Hindustan Times and has been there for more than a week. She had been sharing photos and videos of herself in the Middle East wearing her usual outfits — ones that likely raised some eyebrows in the Arab state. According to the publication, Javed was questioned by the local police after she filmed a video in public wearing something that was prohibited.

A report in The Times of India quoted a source close to Javed saying “there was no problem” with Javed’s outfit, however, the video was shot in an open area which became an issue and therefore, she was interrogated by authorities about that.

While Indian media has been reporting that Javed may face challenges when she returns to India, Javed shared on Instagram that she’s currently in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Earlier, Javed landed in legal trouble for a song where she was seen wearing an orange sari. She was seen in a remake of Zeenat Aman’s song ‘Haye Haye Yeh Majboori’. The song that dropped on October 11 was slammed with complaints filed against the Bigg Boss OTT contestant for “transmitting of material containing sexually explicit act.”
