Indian actor Urvashi Rautela says she didn’t share fan edits of her and cricketer Naseem Shah, her team did
Calm your imaginations everyone, there’s absolutely nothing going on between teenage cricketer Naseem Shah and Indian model-actor Urvashi Rautela.
Denying reports that she liked Shah or even knows him, on Sunday the former Miss Diva India took to Instagram and said her team shared “cute edits” of her without “knowing of other people involved in it”. She requested people to not create “any sort of news” out of it and thanked people for all the love.
The issue — if you can call it that — began when a fan edit of Rautela and Shah was shared on the Indian star’s Instagram. It featured her smiling at him while he stood on the field during the Asia Cup match against India.
Shah addressed a press conference on Saturday where he was asked about how people have shifted from Babar Azam to him, especially the women who come to watch him play, including the Hate Story 4 actor. He answered that his main focus is the on-field performance and that it doesn’t matter who comes to watch him. When someone asked him why he smiled upon hearing Rautela’s name, he clarified that he smiled at the question and that he doesn’t actually know who she is.
Shah added that he has no plans to join the showbiz industry as the question was about him being interested in the field Rautela belongs to.
All of this drama was created from a moment during the Asia Cup, during which Pakistan reached the final but wasn’t able to keep up with opponent Sri Lanka, who easily bagged the cup by 23 runs.
