Musician Mehdi Maloof is calling for donations of medicine and other items for people affected by the floods in Sindh’s Naushahro Feroze. He is also the additional deputy commissioner of the district.
Maloof posted the call for help on Twitter.
He posted lists of medicines required in the district for children under the age of five.
“Many cases of diarrhoea, dysentery, cholera and malaria are coming in,” he wrote.
He also posted information about non-perishable food kits and how much they cost.
According to him, there are 500,000 people without shelter in the area and 65% of the crop has been destroyed.
He also made a call for volunteers to help distribute rations.
Maloof is one of several celebrities working to help victims of the flood. Hadiqa Kiani has been actively raising funds for people affected by the floods.
