It has been 75 years to the creation of Pakistan and like every year, people don their green and white outfits, hoisting the crescent and star flag high in celebration — everyone, including celebrities.

From creating new music in honour of the day to devising a plan to make big changes with “small good deeds”, celebrities such as Ahsan Khan, Babar Azam, Mawra Hocane, Shaista Lodhi and Komal Rizvi are wishing you Azaadi Mubarak.

Actor and anchor Khan shared a sweet moment with a group of kids on set holding tiny flags to wish you “14 August Mubarak”.

An outfit transition with a huge flag is the way model Hasan Rizvi delivered the message.

Captain Azam in uniform captioned his post with a couplet about the crescent on the flag asking to “never let our identity of this crescent and star fade away”. He encouraged his followers to celebrate today and work on being a better citizen than yesterday.

Actor Hocane wished her “beautiful homeland” a happy 75th.

What better way to honour the day than with song for singers? Faisal Kapadia marked the “Jashn-e-Azadi” with a clip of him singing to the masses at a rally.

Actor and singer Mohsin Abbas Haider summarised Pakistan in a 75-second rap “in a whole new look”.

Actor Komal and her mother and niece paid “homage” to Pakistan, which is surviving despite all trials and tribulations, with a three-generational read of the national anthem.

Actor Alina Khan donned a special outfit she got tailored for the day to celebrate even though she’s not in the country because “no matter what corner of the world we’re in, we are Pakistani” and made a prayer for a better tomorrow.

Actor Atiqa Odho wants to celebrate freedom by “promoting human rights in which respect, dignity and equality become a code for living” to live up to the dreams of 1947.

TV host Lodhi recorded a message captioned “Let’s start with a small deed” and suggested some lifestyle changes such as respecting street animals, avoiding littering, planting a tree and taking care of the environment to bring an eventual big change.

Happy Independence Day everyone!

Looks nice after all these are rich Pakistanis. But what exactly are they celebrating? I've been asking this question all around but no Pakistani has the answer it seems.

Celebraties always celebrate whatever the occasion is. It doesn't matter because they have money to celebrate. But it does matter when common people celebrate because they realize the country in which they are living is their own country and they are looked after.

Are we really independent? Ruled by corrupt family dynasties as Pakistan is their kingdom.
