'My parts are in': Snoop Dogg's collaboration with BTS is on its way
American rapper Snoop Dogg and South Korean boyband BTS decided to fuse their music styles into a great collaborated piece and no one's more excited than the BTS ARMY. Especially after the rapper let a spoiler slip after keeping it hush hush for a month.
Speaking with The Buzz, the 'Go To War' singer said his share of the song has been recorded and sent to BTS. “You gotta talk to them but… my parts are in,” he said. The BTS ARMY joked that Snoop Dogg beat BTS leader RM in giving away spoilers. They also expressed their gratitude for the revelation as the boyband has kept mum about it since the announcement.
BTS had been trying to get the rapper on board for a while now — January to be precise, according to the 'Dr Dre' singer. Come March, the deal was sealed. On the red carpet premiere of his and Kelly Clarkson‘s American Song Contest, Snoop Dogg revealed that he and BTS are in talks to make music together — something that fans have been excited about since he said the boyband had sent him a request to work together months ago.
“I’m going to let them tell you about it,” he told The A.V. Club in March, before confirming the news. “The BTS experience you keep talking about. I’m going to let them tell you about it. It’s official like a referee with a whistle. I love that entertainment world. It’s good music. It’s [a] vibe. I make good music. They make good music. And we end up doing this. This is what it’s always about, bringing our worlds together,” he said.
During the Grammy’s Red Carpet, BTS leader RM was also asked about the collaboration with the rapper and he had laughed it off. “Are we collaborate with him? We’re open, come on call us,” he said. When he was prodded further, “I don’t know actually, the label’s going to hate us.” He added that they would love to collaborate with him.
The K-pop band will be dropping a new album on June 10.
