Sinf-e-Aahan, the popular drama serial airing on ARY Digital, will be premiering its finale in cinemas across Pakistan after Eid, according to the network, Images has learned in an exclusive. Further details, including particulars of the date of the premiere are to be released soon.
Sinf-e-Aahan — aka Women of Steel — tells the story of eight women striving for excellence in the army to serve Pakistan.
The serial is a veritable powerhouse of who’s-who in the biz. It stars Sajal Aly, Kubra Khan, Yumna Zaidi, Syra Yusuf, Ramsha Khan and Yeshali Tashiya Kalidasa, and is produced by Humayun Saeed, Shahzad Nasib (via their banner Six Sigma Plus), Samina Humayun Saeed, Sana Shahnawaz (from Next Level Entertainment) with collaboration from the military's media wing, the ISPR.
The show is directed by Nadeem Baig of films Jawani Phir Nahi Aani and Punjab Nahi Jaungi fame. Baig’s previous forays into television were Pyare Afzal, Dil Lagi, and the history making Mere Paas Tum Ho; that serial, need we remind you, began the trend of finale’s getting limited theatrical releases.
But when it comes to ratings and popularity, Sinf-e-Aahan is no push-over either. The show averages over 10 million hits per episode on ARY Digital’s channel on YouTube, and between five and seven million hits per episode on the ISPR’s YouTube channel (the show is uploaded on both pages separately). Currently, the serial is in its 19th episode — so, only a handful of episodes are left until its finale in cinemas.
Recently, the finale for Hum TV's Parizaad was also screened in cinemas. Unfortunately for TV viewers, the drama aired on TV screens a few days later, leaving room for many, many spoilers.
