Bollywood actor Salman Khan has a knack for getting entangled in strange situations that involve trips to the court and it has happened once again. The Ek Tha Tiger actor allegedly misbehaved with a journalist in 2019 and has been summoned by Andheri Magistrate Court in Mumbai to appear on April 5.

According to ANI, Khan had allegedly misbehaved with a journalist named Ashok Pandey who then filed a case against him under sections 504 (insult intended to provoke breach of peace) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code.

According to the reports in Times Now, Pandey mentioned that Khan and his bodyguards had assaulted him when he tried to film the actor riding a bicycle. According to the FIR, the incident took place on April 24, 2019.

The journalist claimed that when he spotted the actor riding a bicycle from his car, he started recording a video after seeking consent from Khan's bodyguards. The actor, however, got irritated and his bodyguards allegedly came to the car and started thrashing and assaulting Pandey, said the application.

Khan also joined his bodyguards in the assault and snatched his mobile phone, Pandey alleged. The trio allegedly threatened him with dire consequences. Pandey later approached the court because the police disposed of his complaint saying that no crime was committed, he added.

ANI also reported development in Khan’s 1998 blackbuck poaching case wherein he was granted bail after being sentenced to five years for hunting down endangered blackbucks during a film shooting. According to the latest update, the case has been transferred to the Rajasthan High Court. This means all the pleas relating to the actor and the poaching case will now be heard in the high court.

Khan will next be seen on the big screen in Tiger 3. The film is directed by Maneesh Sharma and also stars Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi in key roles. Reportedly, Shah Rukh Khan will make a cameo in the film too. The movie will be released on Eid 2023.
