Bollywood actor Siddhant Chaturvedi has responded to netizens who wanted him and Deepika Padukone to take her husband, Ranveer Singh's 'permission' or 'approval' before acting out intimate scenes in their recent film Gehraiyaan.

When asked about these critics, the actor told Bollywood Bubble that he was "never bothered" by those comments. He told the publication that the comments never made him angry and explained his take on what people had been asking him to do. “We are professionals, we know our equation. I remember when we were shooting for this film, Ranveer had come to Goa for a few days. We chilled, we partied. In fact, when I signed the film, he was the first person I called and he was really happy," said the actor who played Zain Oberoi in the film.

Chaturvedi also told the publication that Singh has just been showering him with love since their film Gully Boy and that he is his mentor for life. "Deepika is a professional. When people say these things, kya kar sakte hai (what can one do)? Hum toh apna kaam kar rahe hai (We are just doing our job),” the actor said about people demanding that Padukone seek her husband's permission before acting in intimate scenes in the film.

In Amazon Prime's Gehraiyaan Alisha (Padukone) has an affair with Zain (Chaturvedi) behind her cousin-sister Tia's (Ananya Pandey) back. Tia is Zain's fiancée. The 28-year-old actor also mentioned that he and Padukone were simply following the directions given by Shakun Batra who is the director of the film and made it easy for them to be intimate in the film, despite them being hesitant in the beginning.

The film has garnered mix reactions online. While it primarily focuses on adultery, it also sheds light on traumatic childhoods and the effect of hidden secrets of parents that ruin the lives of their children.

Is this even worth discussing? She is an actress and it is her job to perform. She anyway is free to make her own decisions and is not a property of her husband by any means.

Deepika is a mature adult. She and her co-actor do not need anyone's permission for filming intimate scenes.

@Bhaijani I agree about Billions but don’t agree it’s only due to skin. You get skin and more on pornographic sites as well. People connect to stories and activity skills that includes they are acting intimate sconces to scene that include depressing, anger or many human emotions.

@Bhaijani Wrong. 3 idiots, Anda dhun, Kahaani etc had no liplocks and skimpy dresses, still it earned billions in India as well as abroad and in China. Content is king, not dress code.

@Bhaijani sleeveless and kissing must be selling point and taboo in thy nation, not in India. Its normal in India, no one bats a eye about it. Movies make billion because of their star cast, content it brings in it, not sleeveless cloths. Btw by your logic this movie should have been hit then, but it went flop, shows how wrong you are.

She is a professional actress. How can she deny the role made for her in movie. Kissing and hugging is normal in movies. No problem.
