On the surface, the tenth match of PSL 7 on Feb 3 pitted Islamabad United and the Quetta Gladiators against each other but netizens were quick to point out that it also pitted Moin Khan, the Gladiators' coach, against his son Azam Khan, who's playing for United this season.

To cut to the chase, Azam hits flying sixers out of the stadium during Shahid Afridi's bowling and Pakistani Twitter is split, on one side they're cheering Azam on for a brilliant performance while on the other there are mixed feelings about him smashing hits when Lala was bowling.

Islamabad United won the match on against the Gladiators by 43 runs and Twitter is filled with updates, reactions and memes.

Azam's sixes have been immortalised on Twitter.

Fans have become cheerleaders and praised his performance.

The viral "main Khuda ki kasam tere khwaabon me aaunga [I swear to God I will visit your dreams]" video was converted to a meme for the situation.

Tonnes of Moin memes have erupted, claiming he's actually secretly happy about the opposite team winning because of his son's performance.

Fans are amused by Sarfaraz's silence during Lala's bowling.

A Sarfaraz-Moin meme has also come out of the situation.

Meanwhile Afridi fans have very mixed feelings.

Some have pointed out the age and experience difference between Azam and Afridi and shared Azam's baby picture.

Others joked about Lala's to be son-in-law, hinting at Shaheen Afridi who plays for Lahore Qalandars, making Azam pay for this.

Did you watch the match? Are you among Azam's cheerleaders or Afridi's defenders?

I guess, Shahid Khan Afridi should have respectfully resigned now from all formats of cricket as his age and fitness level does not allow him to compete with young upcoming lads. There is a time for every legend and may be his time is over now.

After few years, Azam Khan will be elder than Afridi in terms of age as well. As Afridi is, you know, aging slowly

It's high time and the right time for Shahid Afridi to honorably retire from all forms of cricket with immediate effect.
