Ali Safina is ditching the lovable persona he had in Chupke Chupke for a far more serious character in his new drama Aitebar. The promo for the drama just dropped and it looks intense.

The drama is going to air every Monday from Jan 24 on Hum TV and also stars actors Zarnish Khan and Syed Jibran.

Safina shared the promo on Instagram and captioned it, "Aitebar starting the 24th of January only on Hum TV. Enjoy the promo and here’s a little introduction to my character in the drama."

The video features some serious scenes where facial expressions seem to do more talking than actual talking and the scenes keep skipping through as dramatic music plays in the background. There seem to be cute family scenes at the start that turn sour and some tension among the three protagonists can be sensed. The promo could be hinting at a love triangle or an extramarital affair.

Safina utters a line in a heavy voice that seems to define something in the storyline: "Rishtay bhalay pyaar se banaye jatay hain, magar nibhaaye bharosay se jaatay hain [Relationships may be built on love, but they are sustained with trust]."

Just a day earlier, Safina shared one of the show's posters on his Instagram account, introducing the show. He mentioned some enticing details to stir the curiosity of fans to make them wonder about the plot. "What a great story and an excellent stellar cast. Hoping y’all are going to enjoy the story and it’s twists and turns," he wrote.

"Directed by Nadeem Siddiqui and produced by MD Productions, airing from the Jan 24 8pm every Monday only on Hum TV so exciting," he added.

Actor Khan also took to her Instagram to share the poster and promo on her Instagram Stories.

Safina has been around in the industry for a while and is an actor established enough to be giving out insider tips about the industry, which he did with his wife Hira Tareen in Nov 2021. Are you excited for this new drama?
