We're laughing aloud at Faiza Saleem poking fun at 'VIPs' who refuse to follow Covid-19 SOPs
Actor and comedian Faiza Saleem has clearly had it with people who consider themselves too affluent and well connected to follow Covid-19 SOPs in public spaces.
It's a year and a half into the global pandemic and while people have slowly started to get vaccinated throughout Pakistan, it is still a necessary health precaution to wear a face mask and practice social distancing even after getting the jab.
Restaurants are required to fill only 50% of their seating capacity indoors in compliance with social distancing practices. They can also only offer dine-in facilities to individuals who have been fully vaccinated.
Not everyone seems to get the message though and Saleem recently took to Instagram to poke fun at those individuals who often misuse their class privileges to violate Covid-19 SOPs.
Saleem mimics a person who might seem exaggerated at first but sounds all too familiar after a second or two. "Are you asking me to follow SOPs? Do you know whose sister, wife or daughter I am?" Saleem said. "I came in Prado. I am the E-Lite of Pakistan."
Saleem especially expressed her anger at individuals who behave rudely with staff directed by their employers to make customers comply with SOPs within their premises. "This is what you look like yelling at the poor, unfortunate souls who have to ask you to follow SOPs since it’s their JOB to do so," she wrote in the post.
We're going to agree with Saleem on this front. No matter what your social privileges are, it is important to not only follow all precautionary SOPs but also be polite to those who remind you to do so. After all, they might be saving your life.
