Models Gigi and Bella Hadid condemn silence on attacks in Palestine

"Politicians stutter neutral words in fear of being reprimanded and the world remains silent to avoid offending the wrong people."

Models and sisters Gigi and Bella Hadid are furious with the people who are silent in the face of the Israeli oppression of Palestinians.

"One cannot advocate for racial inequality, LGBTQ and women's rights, condemn corrupt and abusive regimes and other injustices, yet choose to ignore the Palestinian oppression," Gigi wrote. "It does not add up."

"You cannot pick and choose whose human rights matter more," she said. The Hadids have Palestinian roots — their father Mohamed Hadid is Palestinian.

Bella also spoke up in support for her country, pointing out how leaders are hesitant to speak up for fear of being reprimanded.

"Future generations will look back in disbelief and wonder how we allowed the Palestinian suffering to continue for so long. A human tragedy unfolding right in front of our eyes.

"Politicians stutter neutral words in fear of being reprimanded whilst the world remains silent to avoid offending the wrong people," she said.

"History has taught us to speak up. You are either on the right side or you are not. It's that simple,"

This is not the first time Bella has spoken about the issue. She recently posted about how she couldn't believe the "hate in the hearts of people" against Palestinians.

“I feel the pain of my ancestors. I cry for them. I cry for my Palestinian brothers and sisters, there now, feeling unsafe and scared. This needs to stop, there is no room for this in 2021!" she had protested as celebrities from around the world spoke up in support of Palestine.

There was a resurgence in violence against Palestinians after an Israeli attack on worshippers at the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound. At least 215 Palestinians were hurt in the violence at the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, including 153 who were hospitalised.

Tensions were heightened after Israeli settlers forced Palestinian residents of Sheikh Jarrah out of their homes to make way for more settlements. They were also attacked by Israeli forces. The Palestinian Red Crescent said at least 520 Palestinians have been wounded since Monday, including more than 200 who were hospitalised, five of them in critical condition.

Malal should learn from these sisters who have much more to loose than your fake humanitarian figure.

You are absolutely right that it does not add up. The 2014 genocidal attack of the apartheid state of Israel on Palestinians ended up killing many children. When very few people from Hollywood like Selena Gomez, Penelope Cruz, and her husband Javier Bardem spoke against the Israeli barbarism, they were issued a clear warning from the so-called Muguls of Hollywood of actions that could destroy their careers. Jews are primarily cowards and have always played the role of oppressed to gain sympathies of the world. The fact is that if someone has really had the history like the Jews claim then how could they do the same to someone else?
