Zahid Ahmed's wife pens heartfelt note celebrating his career, their life together
We love us some expressive spouses!
After Zahid Ahmed bagged the Best Actor Critic Award this Lux Style Awards 2020, his wife and mother of two, Amna Zahid, expressed some love for her talented husband on social media, letting his fans know what a star he is, both on and off the screen.
"Our journey has been quite eventful to say the least [...] some loss, some pain but extraordinary learning — some struggle, some mistakes but lots of honesty," Amna wrote, as she recalled the long bumpy road the duo pledged to take together.
"Some poor and lonely times but lots of amazing friends and a rewarding career. All in all to make our faith stronger in the divine force," she said, expressing her gratitude to God for showering His generosity on them.
"Where Zahid is today as a professional and more so as an individual, I have only gratitude for my Allah. His ways are truly magical. He sends ease with every hardship [...] we were lucky to have found ease in our hardships."
The Ishq Zahe Naseeb actor's spouse also took the opportunity to share how immensely delighted she was at his success, acknowledging his hard work with a little prayer of her own.
"I am indeed blessed to have you in my life and really really proud of your accomplishments. May you always remain humble, stay authentic, stay true to your craft, stay focused, and may your faith grow even stronger that it lights up the world. Ameen," Amna said.
"PS: The only prayer I have for you now is that you start replying to WhatsApp messages," she added. Guess we all now know the common ground we share with our one and only.
Ahmed's recent serial Muhabbat Tujhe Alvida was alongside Sonya Hussyn and Mansha Pasha, and navigated a story of love, loss and greed as he played the role of a loving, supportive husband.
"Usually the audience doesn't associate such characters with me. My characters always have a twist in them. But this time, the story has a twist instead and my character is pure and positive," he had revealed in an interview with Images.
He also shared how acting was his dream, and how he entered the profession with no mentors, no network and no special connections.
“I burnt all my boats when I came into this profession. I had a career in telecommunications while working in theatre as a hobby. The first time I saw a theatrical play, back in 2006, I was blown away. I felt that these people on stage were my people, that the need to perform was running in my blood. But I didn’t quit my conventional job."
"I never auditioned for TV. I don’t have any friends who are out there promoting my work, landing me into special projects. I just acted in Anwar Maqsood’s plays for the stage, and it became my gateway into this career. People from television started reaching out to me and suddenly, I was on TV,” the actor had said.
