Zainab Alert app's reporting system could help recover missing children

Celebrities are helping spread awareness regarding the Zainab Alert app that helps recover missing children through a speedy reporting system.

Actor Sanam Saeed took to Instagram to reveal information about the multi-lingual app that can be downloaded on any cellphone.

"It is created by a very responsible group of individuals working in tandem with CPLC. Their main cause, target and mission is to help find missing children," she revealed.

"Unfortunately Pakistan is ranked one of the highest in kidnapping and child abuse. Every day we hear the news of missing children and wonder what we can do to help. Now, with the help of this app, we can help bring these children home."

"All the information regarding the missing child will be available on the app so that all of us can help the police, CPLC and children's families, because they can't fight this battle alone," added the actor.

"We have to come together as a community, as a society and as a nation to bring our children home."

Actor Hina Dilpazeer also joined in on the cause.

"If God Forbid any child goes missing or faces a mishap, you can put the child's detail on this application and it gets instantly activated. Long live CPLC!" the Bulbulay star shared.

also there is a need to change the law: it is still a non-cognizable offence. An FIR registered when parents inform police their child is kidnapped even when they are not sure about it. In any other missing child case, there is no FIR, but only its entry in a daily diary where cases like CNIC missing are entered. Such a shame. We need to change the law to register a FIR for any missing child case, not just for kidnapped cases.
