Band Aag celebrates Pakistan Day with an acapella version of our national anthem

The coronavirus may have stopped the festivities but at least we have Aag to keep us in good spirits while in quarantine
Updated 25 Mar, 2020

Aag had won us over with their acapella for 14 August and now they've got a rendition of the national anthem just in time for March 23.

The band, joined by friends, performed a beautiful acapella version of the anthem in collaboration with food delivery app Cheetay and we love it!

We appreciate that the band got more people on board - especially female voices - that really enhanced the track; maybe Aag should have one (or more) of them permanently join the band!

Usman Sheikh and Haroon Sheikh form Aag. While the duo has been around for a while, they got the spotlight in Pepsi Battle of the Bands and then with their 2018 'Azaadi acapella' which was a medley of iconic Pakistani patriotic songs.

The video ends with an important message regarding them ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, which is the reason many events and festivities for today were either postponed or cancelled. It's good to know bands like Aag are around to keep us in good spirits while we're in self-quarantine.
