Hamza Ali Abbasi wants to remind you he hasn't quit acting

"I just took a long break from acting to give more time to religion," shared the actor.
Updated 02 Mar, 2020

Hamza Ali Abbasi had announced in November that he's moving away from acting.

However, the Alif actor wants to remind us all that 'moving away' does not mean 'quitting' as we all did end up thinking.

Replying to a Twitter user missing him on screen, he said: " I haven't quit acting because I don't see it anywhere in Islam as being haraam in itself. I just took a long break from acting to give more time to religion."

He went to to confirm that he "will make - and maybe act - in projects made within boundaries Allah has set for us."

For now, Hamza Ali Abbasi will be on the big screen in The Legend of Maula Jatt which releases on Eid-ul-Fitr this year. Good to know that won't be the last time we'll see him.

When even making a picture is un-Islamic, how could making a movie be allowed?

Lollwood doesn't need a preacher they have Hamza Ali the AAAwanna be religious-guru? If you want to take a break from actiing then just take it, its sickening how these celebrities take the air out of the news with their wanting to make these massive announcements of everything they want to do, instead of highlighting the thousands of Pakistanis living in harsh conditions try to feed their families as these fake celebrities are doing selfies in designer fashion out fits to promote the designers?

He is confused. Doesn't know which direction to take. Intends to be an all rounder Muslim without being associated to one particular denomination. This is a self-promoting approach since every denomination believes itself to be the rightly guided and on the chosen path. One who seeks the truth usually goes for the chosen path as per his own understanding but the one who brings and promotes the ones that are to be denounced as per pure path, are only serving their own vested interests and he is no different. I reviewed this prior video and wasted no time leading to this conclusion that I jotted down. A religious person cannot support IK. End of discussion.

He is one fine actor. In acting comparison, he is far ahead with many of his current contemporaries. In 'Alif', he is brilliant as an actor.
