On Sunday, a group of masked people attacked students at Jawaharlal Nehru University in Delhi, damaging the campus as they went from hostel to hostel.

At least 22 students and teachers were injured in the violence, according to a list compiled by the teachers' association. Among them was the President of the Jawaharlal Nehru Students Association, Aishe Ghosh.

The Delhi Police, by all accounts, seemed to have been ineffective in taking action against the group, if, indeed, it had attempted to do so in the first place.

Several took to social media to speak up against the attack and lend their support to the students; among them were many figures from Bollywood.

They shared their shock and dismay

And condemned the attack

While asking the people and their fellow celebs to make a stand
